Did you ever print out an e-mail, hold it in your hands and think,"Ah, this is sexy"? No, I didn't think so. Let's face it. E-mails just aren't aesthetically pleasing.
What I wonder though is this: how do you know to look for the hidden message? I suppose I could start steaming off stamps on my thousands of postcards in hopes of finding more hidden messages, but ... I think I'll just strut with this one in hand.
But get your hands on a batch of antique French postcards, and you'll find love, lust, romance and mystery -- all in a succint 3x5-inch package with stunning art to boot!
I'm like a proud peacock when it comes to having the above postcard in my collection, not because of what's on front (although the troubador is romantic enough) but because of what was on back. I had heard and seen through my research on French postcards that sometimes folks wrote 'secret' messages under the stamp. When I did occasionally come across such a card, it was tres chere. But I kept looking and voila! I found this lovely example that I could afford.!
Under the postage stamp on the back side is this message: I love you always, mon amie. Come to see me while passing through Pagare all alone if you can or with your cousin.

Now, that's just doggone romantic:)

what a lovely romantic idea! It beats text messaging any day.
What else does it say before the "come to see me..." bit? Is it "I love you every day"? I can't quite read the next two words...
I have a blog. I have a reader and a comment to prove it. Therefore I am:) hehehe Good morning, Abby! Thanks for pointing out to me that I forgot the first part. I'll go back and edit that in. "I love you always, dear friend."
I'm going to need all the help I can get to keep me on my toes! I did manage to do this without having a hotflash though. So rather pleased with that......
LOL...now you have 2 comments! hehehe

This, I like:) Thank you for being a "follower." I promise I won't lead you to any bridges!ha! But hopefully we will go down many interesting 'memory' lanes via postcards.
