Sorry, No Scratch and Sniff

We all go through spells where we are enamored with something or really interested in a specific subject. But after awhile, we move on and find a new interest or a different hobby. I sometimes wonder if I will feel that way about postcards and then, along comes a kind of card that I've never seen before and I appreciate all the more why this turn of the century No. 1 hobby has held my attention for almost a decade and likely will for several more.
So I know you're busy prepping all the turkey fixings, but I just had to share this with you. I originally thought this was a hand-painted dinner napkin! But as you see here from the backside ....
it is a perfume sachet postcard from Manchester, England! There's still a bit of powder inside it! No, I didn't sniff it to see if there was still an aroma:) Just looking at the pretty pansies is quite enough for me.
But it does look like a painted dinner napkin, doesn't it?!

Have a happy Turkey Day! The hubby has a mince meat-less pie marinating for me -- chopped apples, golden raisins, dried cherries and all those wonderful spices I DO love to stick my nose in: cinnamon, cloves and fresh ground nutmeg. OH, and candied ginger, too. Family is coming and we'll do the pig-out tradition. I hope you have a good holiday, too. I'll drop back in Friday to tell you about a certain gift shop in France ....
