Spring can't come too soon!

FrenchKissed update: these scans are no longer available as free downloads, but I'll get them listed in my Etsy and Zibbet shops as soon as I can:) ladies, taking note of everyone's requests which i solicited last friday,  i looked through my stash for a bird riding a bicycle with a basket filled with hearts and roses, cycling through Paris with a little girl in tow wearing ice skates -- and lots of French script in the background. Guess what? I'm fresh out:)hehe
seriously, i've been planning something different for february

drum roll please.....

a free download EVERY day in february! so all your requests will be filled soon!

until then, here's the postcard that grabbed my heart today. no bird, but we got the eggs and nest. definitely spring! i LUV the wily look in the big girl's eyes. she's trying to look innocent, but you can sense a boisterous mischievous girl, barely able to supress a bad case of the giggles:)
here's a 'dreamy version....
and this one isn't quite sepia but it has a great vintage feel to it with its own kind of fantasy effect....
this postcard is one in a series featuring these cuties in different poses. my original set was mailed from march to may in 1904 to Leonie Lebeau in melun, a suburb of paris.

now, i'm sitting at the computer in my zebra fuzzy lounging pants (not to be confused with my zebra pajamas) wearing the blue-dotted hospital gown i received at the emergency room -- freshly laundered, of course. and i'm wearing it backwards, tied extra tight:) my arm sling is wrong side out. yes, i'm like a proud toddler: look! i dressed myself today! i had a rough nite and the hubby didn't dare wake me to get me ready for the day before he left for work. but he did cut up an apple for me and pour up my glasses of water and juice (we use a filtered pitcher system that requires two hands:) an awesome homemade winter soup in individual serving bowls waits for me in the fridge -- purple potatoes, purple kale, lima beans, parsnips and beets with mushrooms, carrots and leeks in a chicken broth, combined with roasted chicken bits and italian sausage. are you hungry yet?! AND the hubby left out half a homemade chocolate cake .... so you go make some pretty art with these pretties. i'm going to follow the queen's advice and practice the art of cake eating:)

What, no birds riding bicycles towing an ice skater? :-)
Love your choice of course, I was just trying to make you dig through every single shoebox in your house with my suggestion, hee hee. You know, keep the ol’ crippple busy and she won’t have time for further damage!

Your husband sure is a sweetie!

Thank you for this gorgeous card, Trishia, and Feb will be a wonderful month with a free card every day, wowee!!!

So you couldn't find a card with all those requests... how unusual!
I would have thought there would be numerous ones to choose from.
Sorry you had a rough night, but glad hubby decided to let you sleep and set you up for the day. Soup sounds good, but the chocolate cake sounds even better! I've had chocolate cake on my mind lately but have fought off the desire and not baked one...yet!
Love this card and looking foward to all the surprises in Feb.
