FrenchKissed contests: "Love Me Two Challenge" and "Kissed Again!"

"Love Me Two" challenge.
I promise it will be a contest with twice as much fun:)
Contest details/where to mail:
Using any of the 13 "Under-loved"* images posted last week, create an ATC, a gift tag, a greeting card, journal page, postcard -- whatever you wanna make. Make TWO OF THEM. Your two entries can be identical or different; two versions of the same image or two different images. Mail both to me -- Trishia Jacobs, PO Box 1217, Hood River, Oregon, USA 97031 -- and you'll be entered into the "Love Me Two!" contest. The deadline for entry will be Tuesday, March 13.
*Posts on Feb. 13 , Feb. 14 and Feb. 15 have all 13 "under-loved" images you can choose from. Feb. 14 post also shows the prizes to be awarded to top three contestants.

"Kissed Again!"
Take any FrenchKissed digital scan (free download or a scan you have purchased) and make something with it! You can be entered in the contest one of three ways:
1) Post item you've made with FrenchKissed images on Flickr in the FrenchKissed group.
2) If you have a blog, write a tutorial about how you made it.
3) Email me a picture of it and I'll post it for you!
My goal: I would love to have an inspiring example of what to make/how to use EACH digital scan listed in my shops!
More details and THE prize to come.....Stay tuned and start creating:) I can tell you that the deadline entry will be March 31. So you still have time to wait and use one of the 29 (and counting) freebies that will be posted this month.

Wooden You Love to be in Paris?!

Today I have to give a shoutout to Scott of The Porkchop Shop on Etsy. Scott is a master of the laser saw and creates the cutest wooden cutouts to use in art. I'm very honored that he used two of my digital scans in his Paris French wooden tiles set. Scott says that if you want to use any of his wood pieces for jewelery, he'll even do the hole drilling to loop your chain or ribbon through. Scott's Etsy banner describes his shop as "Trinkets and Art Parts for Post-Mushroom Cloud Living." If that line alone doesn't convince you what a character he is, take time to read his profile for some more laughs:)

I won't be so trite as to say he had me from "hello," but "Versailles" definitely demanded my attention:
"Imagine an artist blessed with a virtuosity rivaling the prissy court painters of Versailles. Imagine an artist rummaging through time discovering the lost thoughts of Lascaux cave painters..."
Steampunk gears, crowns, Alice in Wonderland cutouts, dolls, door knockers, butterflies, keys (the door kind and typewriter keys, too) vintage tickets -- even aviation instrument parts. You'll find all that and more at Scott's shop.

And now, I wanna give a shoutout to myself cause I actually accomplished one of my New Year goals -- already, for real! Yes, I created a Facebook page for FrenchKissed. I understand that some of you are averse to Facebook. I understand! Over the holidays, The Hubby and I watched "Social Network," the story about how Facebook was created. My chest had a knot of anxiety the whole time I was watching it. Something about watching Harvard students have sex in bathrooms, snort cocaine and be obsessed with status really disturbed me! I seriously considered deleting my personal page.
But as one friend told me, "We stay on Facebook so we can communicate with our kids." Pitiful, I know, but .. the truth.
And also, to be honest, I'm hoping that Facebook can give my business the exposure it needs, so that folks can find me!
I plan to use the Facebook site to post and share links to all sorts of things: French items in the news, Etsy treasuries -- just little quick tidbits and fun reads. So if you are on Facebook, please "Like" me and share my page with your friends!

Hi Trishia!
I’m a very irregular Facebook-er but I’ll certainly go and “like” you. I hope it brings you a lot of business.

You are so..totally right about the F.B. connection. I started to stay in touch with my sons, then it grew to friends I hadn't seen in years.
Now I'm doing the same, and creating my own page for my work.
At least we're honest, and it's true, it's where folks go to learn and buy. The internet.
It's OK. That's how we all find each other, and how lucky we are..
I'll "LIKE" your page right away!
Best of luck and Happy New Year too!

Ann, that is AWESOME!! The next time I'm tempted to talk smack about Facebook, I'll remember that when it does GOOD, it does it well:)Facebook has also been attributed to preventing crimes, stopping abuse, helping prevent suicide. I guess Facebook is like a double-edged sword. It is what we make it.

Facebook is apparently also cited in 40% of divorce cases!

I keep thinking of leaving it too - but it really is a good way of keeping in touch with people as casually or as intense as you like! I just have the occasional cull of linked people instead whenever I reach 300 friends! I'm soooo bad!

Have 'liked' you over on FB my dear ;-) x
