FrenchKissed contests: "Love Me Two Challenge" and "Kissed Again!"

"Love Me Two" challenge.
I promise it will be a contest with twice as much fun:)
Contest details/where to mail:
Using any of the 13 "Under-loved"* images posted last week, create an ATC, a gift tag, a greeting card, journal page, postcard -- whatever you wanna make. Make TWO OF THEM. Your two entries can be identical or different; two versions of the same image or two different images. Mail both to me -- Trishia Jacobs, PO Box 1217, Hood River, Oregon, USA 97031 -- and you'll be entered into the "Love Me Two!" contest. The deadline for entry will be Tuesday, March 13.
*Posts on Feb. 13 , Feb. 14 and Feb. 15 have all 13 "under-loved" images you can choose from. Feb. 14 post also shows the prizes to be awarded to top three contestants.

"Kissed Again!"
Take any FrenchKissed digital scan (free download or a scan you have purchased) and make something with it! You can be entered in the contest one of three ways:
1) Post item you've made with FrenchKissed images on Flickr in the FrenchKissed group.
2) If you have a blog, write a tutorial about how you made it.
3) Email me a picture of it and I'll post it for you!
My goal: I would love to have an inspiring example of what to make/how to use EACH digital scan listed in my shops!
More details and THE prize to come.....Stay tuned and start creating:) I can tell you that the deadline entry will be March 31. So you still have time to wait and use one of the 29 (and counting) freebies that will be posted this month.

It's Lovey Dovey Time!

Month of Daily Downloads No.1
Mes amies, I hope it's not too anti-climatic if I start my February 'take over the world' campaign with a non-French card:) Connie, who was a FrenchKissed Artist in Residence last year, had put in a request for a Valentine-themed image and I thought Lovey Dovey here would be perfect! My original card was mailed in 1910 to Miss Ruth in Pitts, Pennsylvania, and is simply signed "To one I love." Now doesn't that just make you sigh:) Interestingly, this "English" postcard was printed in Germany.

Now, just to clarify about my world-conquering agenda.... I have not become possessed by a Napoleon complex, although I do tend to hold my broken arm somewhat like his iconic pose....No, I've just decided to dedicate this month to getting my FrenchKissed name 'out there.' I know it's possible because just this morning I got an order from Cape Town, South Africa, and yesterday a new customer from New Zealand. Last week, my second customer from Luxembourg! So that's a beginning. Now, I only need 997 more new customers this month... Yes, I did the math (have I mentioned that I hate math as much as I hate marketing?) Anyway, I came up with this idea...when I say I have a lot to give, I really do mean that. I can afford to be generous because I have so many antique postcards. I don't need to sell them all. I can give beaucoup away.
I only need you to buy one scan from me once a year.
See? That's not so bad, now is it? Not like I'm asking you to list me as one of your dependents come tax time. Nah, just ONE little $3.49 or $3.99 digital scan ONCE a year.
OH .... And I need 12,000 of you!:)
So how do I get 1,000 new customers a month? I'm not sure. Is that even possible? How about 500 customers who buy 2 scans a month? Since I hate marketing, I've got this wishful thinking that I can bribe you into doing it for me!:) Getting the word out, doing a little name dropping, you know. A tweet here, a link there, a mention on Facebook...

Penny, the very first FrenchKissed Artist in Residence last January, had several gorgeous collages she made with FrenchKissed scans published in the latest issue of Stampington! She listed FrenchKissed as her image source, but ... editors can and do make mistakes. Stampington credited the image source as Fresh Kissed! LOL! I chuckle just thinking about it. French kisses should indeed always be fresh:) One kiss per cheek. Fresh, not stale ... and yes, a little wet, a little slobbery. Come on, a little joi de vivre in those pecks!

Now buried way back in my blog is a post linked to every Etsy and Zibbet listing that expounds on my terms of use and explains how to get free scans. One way is by doing exactly what Penny did: crediting FrenchKissed as the image source in a published article. That's worth 3 free scans:)Your choice, selected from either shop.

As I continue my month of free daily downloads, I hope you'll give some thought on how to help me with creative marketing to make FrenchKissed a household word.
Perhaps you'd like to host a challenge for me?
I no longer have Artists-in-Residence on my blog. Would you like to be a FrenchKissed Artist Abroad?:)!
In the meantime, if you have a blog, would you grab my button [see the HTML code in the box in the right hand column?] and link it on your blog? Any new customers that come to me via you -- you get a free scan!

OK, I've done enough henpecking for today. Lili, your special request will be posted tomorrow!

I’m a non-guru when it comes to marketing, I’m all out of fresh ideas. Jeez, I don’t even have a blog!
But I AM loving this kick-off to February!

Another gorgeous image - this one is so different from most of the vintage Valentines out there. Thanks so much for sharing. (And I commiserate with you over the Stampington typo - seems that happens lots with them!)
