Ladies, I am thoroughly enjoying your critiquing of the postcards. Keep it coming! It really helps me to see the cards through your eyes and give me a new perspective. Hopefully, it won't shatter your image of me too much to learn that I approached all of "this" [the digital art world] from the perspective of a postcard collector. It has taken me a couple of years to start shifting my thinking into that of an artist/scrapbooker/ATC maker. I began with one goal: restoring a scratched up, creased, soiled postcard to its Golden Age of Postcard glory. Now I'm slowly but surely learning to re-think an image and its use/presentation as an element in your crafty hands:)
So ... I may put a wart with a long hair on the nose of the Beauty in Profile or I could market her in the first ever line of Transgender Greeting cards (do you think I could sell Hallmark on the idea?:)
In regard to my doctor's visit yesterday, having my arm X-rayed by the technician who looks like Robert Downey, Jr. was thrilling. Seeing the crack across my bone still clear as can be was not thrilling. But the doc says it's staying aligned well and hopefully in about 3-4 weeks, I can take this annoying plastic cuff off.
My visit with my nephew went well. We hugged and hugged and hugged again. I brought him ciggies, chocolate and McDonald's. All bad for him, I know, but...sometimes we need comfort and nothing more comforting than our vices. I myself went home and had a glass of wine with 3 chocolate covered cherries:)
To all of you who have been serving as FrenchKissed ambassadors, spreading the word, sharing links and relating the news about the daily downloads, my shops on Etsy and Zibbet, posting my button on your blog --- I can't thank you enough! Let me leave you with this piece of stunning inspiration made by Connie Koutsourelis, who was the FrenchKissed Artist in Residence last June. She took the Lovey Dovey Valentine from Feb. 1 and the Eiffel Tower Download posted on Feb. 12 and created this, which I think is so ingenious of a combination!

Good to read about your reunion with your nephew!
Too bad about your arm, but maybe it was meant so you would take it easy. (Oh my gosh, I sound like my mom there, "it happens for a reason"). You seem very busy and I seem to recall you said you'd be off for a week! Now shoo! :P
Well, now you're here anyway, I ran across an image of a beautifull staircase, traced the origin to a museum in Paris but they didn't have that image, so checked a blog that wrote about it, and I think you'll like that blog, if you don't know it allready.
Parishotelboutique
She collects and sells vintage and antiques from France. (Oh the post about the stairs is this here
mSorry your arm isn't "done" yet. Glad you had a great reunion with your nephew. And YES YES vices can be good!!!
What a wonderful piece of artwork...loved it.
Hang in there...healing takes time... ALL healing takes time.
p.s. what's with the new security... I can barely make the first word out? Jeez!!
Marj, I reclicked and resaved and don't know what I did, but that robot security verification has gone away....for good, I hope:)
Yes, I thought you were resting!! Great to see Connie’s work here and I am so glad to hear you’ve showered your nephew with love.
Thank you for ridding your blog of that captcha security; it took me 3 tries yesterday to get it right, yikes!
Now go have another glass of wine ;-))
Greetings Trishia,
The news of you holding your nephew is heartwarming to say the least. I hope things continue to go well for him.
Thanks for posting my ATC! I think the Eiffel Tower as a background on any card is a good foundation to build upon. :-)
Relax this weekend please!
"Serenity Now" repeat often while sipping...something, hahaha
Hey Trishia. Glad to see things are on an upswing for you.
It must have been a huge relief to find your nephew.
Definitely push the transgender cards. Remember the cross-dressing David refrigerator magnets from several years ago? They were very successful I would buy your cards!
As for the wine and cherries, you got it bass-ackwards. It's three glasses of red and ONE chocolate-covered cherry. Candy is bad for your teeth.
Connie's art is just gorgeous! I love the bird image combined with the Eiffel Tower. Lovely! I'm so happy the reunion with your nephew went well. You let him know that he is loved, and that is what matters most.
