My Mother, Myself

Month of Daily Downloads No. 29+
And of course, gotta play with it a bit ....
Mes amies,
Today is the last day of my month of daily downloads. Grab 'em while you can!:)

Interestingly, I started this bonus month with an American Valentine and I'm ending with a card mailed in England. BUT there's been beaucoup French stuff in between.ha! As my sister-in-law would say, "It's all good."

The above image is so elegant, so stunning, so rich in meaning (all those 'mother issues' we see when we look in the mirror) .... and the message on the back, mailed in 1910, is a real hoot:
Dear Elsie, I am now in the train. I will not tell you what it is like in Hall because I am writing in the train. Give my love to E & V. Hettie

Along with a reminder to ENTER THE CONTESTS (See info at very top of the Blog),
I want to end this month of daily downloads with a sincere and humble Thank You!
As I've investigated other sites on the web, it's obvious that there is a plethora of free antique images for you to use in your art. The fact that you are willing to pay for FrenchKissed images is something I am most grateful for.
Living in a town of 400, five miles from a town of about 7,000, where the economy is based on fruit picking and tourism, you can image that job opportunities are scarce around here. There is no way I could make a living picking fruit -- especially if it were cherries or blueberries. I would be fired within a day, walking away with a pink slip and red lips (or blue teeth:)
As for dealing with tourists all day ... at minimum wage? That's a Ha! to the 10th power squared by two....
No tourists, no fruit picking.
"FrenchKissed" is my job and my obsession. Merci beaucoup for all your support, financial and emotional. I love to read your comments!
I'm looking forward to receiving the "Love Me Two" challenge entries. As for the "Kissed Again!" contest, I'm still ruminating on what the prizes will be..... Stay tuned and keep creating! I'll see you in a few days. You know I can't stay away for long....

Beautiful image indeed!
Thanks for all the downloads.

I am so happy with the internet - webbased stores in combination with postal services (as in, making use of them) just opens op the entire world for business. I just hope the internet stays free and uncensored, and for the people and not for companies.

hugs,

Debbie.
I hope your business grows and expands and you can truely make a living with it!

Oops my cat sat on the keyboard, hence the greeting in the middle of the text. I'll go cuddle him now and give him his attention :)

I see someone already wrote "what a beautiful image to end the month on", so I'll just second that.
I do hope this sends lots of business your way. Small towns are great to live in, I know, but not so great for job opportunities.
Having outlets like ETSY and Zibbet have got to be a great service for work at home individuals. Thanks again for all the great downloads, and give yourself a few days to just kick back.

Thanks so much for February Freebies Month Trishia. I love the internet and second Debbie/Daqa on the hope it stays for people and not corporations. (Bless Radia Perlman and all those before her that gave it to us!) I hope you go viral soon!

Thank you, Trishia, for another beautiful postcard! You have given us many lovely images this month, and I am so grateful for your desire to share! I started my challenge ATCs today and I hope to have them in the mail to you by the weekend. I actually used two of your images. Thank you again, and have a relaxing time away from the blog!

Well, Trishia, I certainly have enjoyed this month: the ups and downs and the all-arounds... a chance to hear what’s on your mind and what’s going on in your life AND a plethora of perfectly wonderful postcards. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
❤ :-))) ❤

Wow, what beautifully tender images to end this magical month with! I've enjoyed coming by each day to see what was new. I also totally love your sense of humor, you helped me laugh out loud on many occasions. Feb. always seems to be a hard month for me, as it's often so overcast and grey. Thank you for sharing your stash with us all! :-) Here's also to a much less hectic, up and down, loopdy-loo March for you.

I could say have you saved the best 'til last but it has been an incredible month of fabulous image time after time.
Thank You for both of those and for all the ones before. Amazing generosity on your part Trishia

That's such an elegant image, and the more you look the more engrossed you become by the two of them. I like the nose on the Mother too, she has a very interesting profile!
Fruit picking...hmm...you couldn't hire yourself out as an advertisement? You know, you wander and eat and everyone passing wants to pick their own too??
Well it IS an idea, there's no need to laugh so hard...oh, you fell off your chair? so sorry-not!!

I am sitting up in the middle of the night unable to sleep. Found this older blog post with the lovely postcard. I've been catching up on your adventures. Hope if you are reading this that you are well mended and have made peace with Etsy. Sounds like you have become quite the
entrepreneur, congratulations! C.
