Month of Daily Downloads No. 23

Bird's nest soup has been a Chinese delicacy for 400 years. I'm not impressed. Wars and poverty have been around for eons, too. Doesn't mean they should continue. Eating a bunch of twigs cemented together by bird spit? Eewwww.....!
On a sweeter note, it was Jan. 1, 1905 when Germaine wrote to Madame Pecher to thank her for the beautiful book she had sent to her. Germaine said the book was very interesting and had given her a lot of pleasure. She sends kisses, compliments and thanks from her parents to Monsieur Pecher and Georgette (the daughter, perhaps?)
See the white "worn" spaces among the French text? I keep thinking that could be removed and something else overlayed there. But...I can't figure out what. I'm thinking it has to be just the right thing or else it will overwhelm the collage and make it too busy. Something unexpected or something that adds to the story? What might you be thinking?

Wonderful post card, Trish, thank you!
The contests are brilliant, I'm not sure I can participate right now :-(
You've outdone yourself! Tres magnifique Trishia! So if we have already taken advantage of your generous offer can we still steal away with a few more postcards? I have to go back to check out the Kissed Again contest??? I only wish I has captured your comments to go with each card from the start it's impossible to remember all the dates & details! Thank you, as always, for your generosity!
Thanks for extending the deadline.. although I probably would have made it just fine. I've had to set my "creations" aside for to get a birthday gift made and mailed. (Running late as always!)
Love today's freebie... you know me and birds!!!
Finally started today on a card and allready have at least 2 other version of it in mind. It's been an exhausting week and next week will be busy as well, so it's slow going for me!
I do like the white spots in the text, it does give a little interest. Although I probably would remove the text altogether, as I like to make things personal (and someone elses text is not personal from me ;) ).
If it's blank I could also add some of my own stamps on top of it, so I can vary with it more.
And bird's nest soup - eew. Somehow it got me thinking of that Indiana Jones movie where they are offered an equisite dish: the brains of a monkey that is still alive. Hmm it's bedtime for me, but I think I'll go watch some "happy images" first!
Oh and I see you made a sticky! :D
oh..just love this one!!!
love both versions!!
oh..love,love,love!!!!!!
must download and go play!!!!!
thanks!!!
Gaelle, YES, my rules, I can bend em:) Anyone can take advantage of the 50 percent off sale as long it's posted!
Beautiful as always! And what fabulous inspiration for a contest! Thank you again!
Thanks Trisha! I'll try not to make a faux pas! <=
A beautiful, beautiful card, so generous of you Trishia:)
Merci beaucoup!
Wendy
Thanks so much for the bird postcard! I love birds...but NOT bird nest soup!!!GIves me the shivers!
I love both versions of this...you do such wonders with your creative touch!
I also love both of these, but, especially the new one !! My colors, I guess.. I think it looks great the way it is, but if you feel something might pop in there, what about very very demure feathers? A stamp feather? I love it just like this anyway!
Thank you so much!!!
I have used a couple of your designs and will send to you, as not to mess up anywhere else! :(
Have a super day, and again!! MERCI, MERCI !!!!
Penney
